In this meet up event, we will be conducting primary observation studies of trees and plants. You will get the chance to admire plants and trees up close and learn how to confidently create inspired drawings with pencil and fineliner pens. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the process of drawing that nature has to offer. We will cover topics such as simplifying shapes, creating texture and detail to enhance your drawings. This is a perfect opportunity for both beginners and more experienced artists alike to meet up and create art in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Our friendly instructors will provide guidance, helpful feedback, and support along the way, to generate new ideas for your art practice, and collaborate in a like-minded space. Do you need an updated family portrait? Come along to our mini photo sessions.Mini-sessions are short 30 minute photo sessions for up to 6 people - perfect for families with little ones who can't sit still for too long.

If you are brand new to crochet, haven't picked up a hook in years, or simply want a little more guidance on those all important basic stitches this is the class for you. We will start with techniques for holding the yarn before moving onto forming the stitches that make up a traditional granny square.Crochet materials are included as well as a free tea or coffee.

Introduction to Black and White Photography. What makes a good Black and White shot?

We will look at the contrast and using textures. How does the camera see the image and how do we create Black and White images in a camera or in post-production. We will look for some good examples and set some exercises.

This is a more advanced course and assumes you understand the basics of photography and controlling your camera.
